Our priority as a company is to ensure the safety of our team whilst providing the best service to our customers. During the Coronavirus pandemic, Lothian Broadband have aimed to maintain a fully operational network to support our customers. While some usage patterns have changed, we have a normal service in terms of performance and capacity.
We understand that our customers’ broadband connections are vitally important during this time. For advise on how to maximise your connection during the pandemic, please see Ofcom’s Guide to Staying Connected.
As Lothian Broadband engineers are Keyworkers, we will continue to carry out any essential network maintenance but limit other construction activity during this period.
To protect everyone’s health, and in line with UK and Scottish Government Guidelines, we will comply with industry best practice regarding safe distancing and PPE when undertaking our work. We will additionally look to support practical temporary solutions in some customer facing work where our normal quality methods cannot be safely undertaken.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.
IMPORTANT: If you rely on your broadband service for a community alarm or any other safety-critical device, please phone the team on 01620 698001, so that we can ensure that your service is made the highest priority.
